These images (Moretus and Clavius) are very interesting not so much for the resolution achieved, I tell you now that it is not absolutely the best, let alone the best one of my 45cm, but for the mediocre conditions of the acquisition.

However, these are the first images made with the new ASI120mm and the high frame-rate, however, has allowed me to extrapolate few frames acceptable ... In all cases in which the seeing is very unstable in fact, the high speed of the new CCD it is really crucial. And it is even more so for Dobsonian with field rotation within 40-50 seconds!

Both images are very high focal length of just under 9 meter ... I have not yet determined exactly though. I've also used for the first time Barlow Celestron X-Cel LX 3X that looks really good.

Later I will send even the great mosaic of the pole ... very impressive!

Queste immagini(clavius e moretus) sono davvero molto interessanti non tanto per la risoluzione ottenuta, che io dico subito di non essere assolutamente la migliore, ne tanto meno quella ottimale del mio 45cm, ma per le condizioni mediocri di acquisizione.

Tuttavia queste sono le prime immagini effettuate con la nuova ASI120mm e l'alto frame-rate mi ha permesso tuttavia di estrapolare pochi frames accettabili... In tutti i casi in cui il seeing è molto instabile infatti, l'alta velocità del nuovo CCD è davvero fondamentale. E lo è ancora di più per i dobson con la rotazione di campo entro i 40-50 secondi!!!

Entrambe le immagini sono ad altissima focale di poco meno di 9 metri...non ho ancora calcolato esattamente però. I ho anche utilizzato per la prima volta la Barlow Celestron X-Cel LX 3X che sembra davvero ottima.

Più avanti manderò anche il mosaico grande del polo...davvero molto suggestivo!

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status.
