I had all kinds of trouble getting this image, mostly because my beloved laptop bit the dust so I'm using a loaner that just isn't up to the task of running VMWare/Win 7, pulling data from 2 cameras, and driving a mount. Finally after rebooting both the guest and host operating systems I got the thing to work. Nevertheless, the sky was pretty good so I went forward. Chiller at 2.5 A, 12.5 °C. Very poor guiding performance. Overall, I was happy to pick up some of the outer shell, but I'm sure I can do better.

Stacking: Neb 3, bad pixel map, extract NEB, normalize, de-Bayer & square, trans+rot align, 1.5 SD stack

Processing: StarTools 1.3.5.289 Crop; Wipe; Develop 75.13%; HDR: equalize; Color: scientific 249%; Deconvolute 2.4 pix; HDR: optimize; Life: moderate; Track: 2.2 pix; Magic: shrink 2. Photoshop CS6 Astronomy Tools several cycles of layer mask space noise reduction; lighten DSO; more noise reduction; levels, AstroFrame.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
