Description

This image is a result of a mount error. From the same night described here: http://www.astrobin.com/96012/, my EQ3-2 motor had problems with a few exposures, resulted on images taken from my mount, with my motor, but without tracking the sky.

As said in that image, some things are indeed very interesting, and an error became a interesting, visually atrractive, and beautiful image. Evertything depends on our point of view, and, in our life as well, some things that may not look like good things at first, may turn out to be a chage for better. Everything is relative...

A few southern objects/constellations are worth mentioning: in the center of the image you can see the 4 main stars of the Southern Cross (Crux) constellation, that roughly points towards the SCP in the Southern Hemisphere. What looks like a bright star near the top leff on the image, is actually a stunning globular cluster, visible to the naked eye, and spectacular through a telescope, Omega Centauri. Near the tree, on the bottom right corner, you will se the trails of Eta Carinae or the Carina Nebula (NGC 3372), another Southern jewel.

This image was taken under Rural Skies (Bortle 3-4), Cristina, MG, Brazil (latitude 22ºS). Thanks for seeing.
