Description

The Eagle Nebula, object number 16 on Messier's famous catalogue, is easily one of the most beautiful objects in the night sky. This grand nebula was made even more famous by the Hubble Space Telescope, which originally images the "Pillars of Creation" section in 1995. To celebrate Hubble's 25th anniversary, it actually revisited the photo in 2014, creating a beautiful high-resolution image of the "Pillars of Creation".

This final image combines RGB data gathered from Eastman Lake Recreation Area in September with Hydrogen-Alpha data gathered from my backyard in June.
