Description

NGC 3242 is a planetary nebula in Hydra. I can't think of anything to say about it. It is known as the "Ghost of Jupiter" nebula due to its similarity in apparent size to Jupiter in the sky. For processing, I used hst_10822_02_wfpc2_f547m_wf_sci.fits to fill in the edges, hence why it's a bit more noisy there. As for the rest:

Red: hst_08773_13_wfpc2_f658n_wf_sci.fits

Green: hst_08773_13_wfpc2_f555w_wf_sci.fits

Blue: hst_08773_13_wfpc2_f502n_wf_sci.fits

Data from April 7, 2001 and January 30, 2007 obtained from Hubble Legacy Archive.
