Description

This is my first attempt at combining multiple filtered data sets into 1 image so I thought it best to start with a bright target. This is also my first image with data from different imaging sessions. I summarized my workflow below and comments would be appreciated.

The luminance, OIII and Ha were captured on separate nights. This was the second set of Ha data I collected for this image. The first set would not stack in PI which I put down to the fact that I had captured it at the same ISO and the same exposure length as the Luminance and OIII and as it captured less data, not enough stars were available for stacking. As it turned out, the second set wouldn't stack either, even though the ISO was higher than the previous set's and I had to resort to Deep Sky Stacker.

I had hoped that this image would be made without the help of PhotoShop but that was wishfull thinking. Too many snags along the way like not being able to staralign either the Ha or OIII core data and so having to resort to PhotoShop to incorporate those. The best I can say is that about 75% of the processing was in PI. I guess that will have to do for now.

Big thanks to Harry's Astroshed for the tutorials and Gerald for his narrowband integration tutorial
