Description

Arp104 is also known as Keenan's System and contains spiral galaxy NGC5216 and globular galaxy 5218. The pair are connected by a 22,000 light year long trail of gas, dust and stars. Arp 104 is about 17 million light years distant. As with many interacting systems, over billions of years, the two galaxies will merge into one.
