Description

A 4 panel mosaic of this beautiful area of our night sky, shot last year (2015). 2 panels were shot on a stunningly clear night in July, using the HEQ5 and 2 in September, using the EQ3-2 with RA tracking. The difference in quality is visible at 100%, as I did not nailed focus that well in the second shooting day, and the sky and tracking qualities were not as good. Anyway, the image is still beautiful to me.

Constructive criticism, comments and suggestions are more than welcome in the comments section. Thank's for taking your time to look at this image.

Taken from Rural Skies (Bortle 3-4; NELM ~6.2; SQM ~21.55*), from Cristina, MG, Brazil (22ºS latitude).

Date and Time: July 12th, 2016, at 23:15 (11:15pm)

Camera: Unmodded Canon T4i/650D, at ISO 800

Lens: Canon 40mm f/2.8 STM, stopped down to f/3.5

Exposure Detail: 6x300s or 30min for each panel; 4 panels total; Total integration: 2h.

*Revision -B- is the full, uncropped merged mosaic. It shows that my planning/overlaping wasn't very good, and I lost some data when cropping the black edges.*
