A close view of the Horsehead Nebula as seen over the months of Novemeber and December 2012.
This is a sum of 84 subframes giving 13 hours of integration time.
The larger image is something I've messed with for a while and may yet add more data. There are some strong reflections marring the whole field so I may want to find a better way to fix these issues.
Calibrated in Maxim, Stacked in DSS, Processed in PI.
Had to smooth out some cold pixels that missed calibration in the "head" of the nebula.
