This was an experiment - I shot the Moon last night. Tonight I slew to the exact coordinates the Moon was at and shot the starfield with short exposures.

Then I made a composite in Photoshop.

I tried to match intensities and backgrounds to "look right" but I'm not sure how I feel about this kind of image. I think it looks sortof neat but is it "authentic", and should that matter if this is considered art and not scientific?

It was an interesting experiment for me for sure.
