Description

NGC 4395 is a face-on spiral galaxy in Canes Venatici. It appears fairly large with an apparent size of 13 x 11 arc minutes, but its low surface brightness makes it difficult to eke out much detail.

Date: Feb 17-27 2017

Location: New Ringgold PA

Optics: Starizona Hyperion f/8 12.5 inch, FL 2540 mm

Mount: Paramount ME

Camera: Sbig STL-11000

Guiding: Self-guided

Exposure: LRGB: L:38x15min R:14x10 min, G:20x10 min, B:19x15 min for a total of 20 hrs.

Processing: Image acquisition using Maxim DL and CCD Autopilot. The Lum and RGB color images were created in Maxim with final processing in Photoshop.
