Description

I can't believe it. After searching 4 different nights I finally found Comet 41P Tuttle. To say I

was pleased would be an understatement. Comets have always had a warm place in my heart.

I've viewed a lot of them in the last 40 years but even now if I locate one I consider it a reason to

celebrate. I first imaged M79 a small globular cluster in the constellation Lepus. When I

finished imaging M79 I decided to look for Comet Tuttle again. Ursa Major where Comet Tuttle

is located had moved higher in the sky and farther away from the light pollution. It was not easy

to see and I tried several eye pieces and could not make out even a hint of a tail. Anyway I've

added another comet to my collection. Enjoy.
