Description

Here is the magnitude 3 star Albireo in the constellation of Cygnus. It is a double star with the two components having greatly different temperatures, thus the color difference. Albireo is visible to the naked eye as the bottom star in the Northern Cross asterism, and is a showcase object used to show first time telescope users how to see color in the stars.
