A partial success after a very troubled night. I was taking images with a "double tube" configuration when I had electrical problems with the CCD on the 12" ODK, AND some significant wind started. For this reason I closed the bigger scope and took 10x600" images of this nice couple of globulars with the 130APO and the Canon 450D. Unfortunately I had limited time (the night was about to end) and the wind grew so strong that the final result was clearly blurred. What a shame! But "miracle man" Edoardo Radice was able to fix the images almost perfectly using PixInsight! Thank you Edoardo! Note that M53 (right) and NGC5053 (left) are both globular clusters, but they have clearly different "densities". M53 is class V, NGC5053 is Class XI. Come da una serata nata storta può uscire una immagine dignitosa :-) Mollata a metà notte una ripresa a "doppio tubo" causa problemi elettrici, ho chiuso il telescopio grosso con cui stavo riprendendo in L col CCD e girato il 130 APO (che riprendeva il colore con la Canon) verso questa bella coppia di globulari nella Chioma di Berenice, visto che mi rimaneva poco tempo prima che finisse la notte. Meno di due ore di posa, che sono venute pure mosse causa vento mostruoso alzatosi nel frattempo! Ma SSS (SUA SUPREMA SANTITA') di PixInsight Edoardo Radice è riuscito a rimediare anche questo! Il mosso si vede ancora, ma l'originale era inguardabile!

M53 (a destra) e NGC5053 sono entrambi ammassi globulari, ma ovviamente di densità molto diversa. M53 è di classe V, mentre NGC5053 è di classe XI. La classificazione va da molto densi (classe I) a globulari che sembrano ammassi aperti (classe XII).
