Description

This was the first light with the EQ8 mount. Guiding went pretty well.

I did not do any real image processing with this image, which was more of a guiding test.

The small galaxy to the lower left is IC4617, a 15,2 magnitude sprial galaxy of 1.2 x 0.4 arcmin at a whopping distance of 500 million light years. Not to be confused with NGC 6207 the 11.3 magnitude galaxy that is just outside the frame even more lower left. Usually that latter one is the 'famous' galaxy close to the also famous Hercules cluster.

Description: Actually an image of the next night, with some frames from May 25th. I reworked the OAG connection screws so that the sensor would be as square as possible to the optical axis. The shadow of the OAG prism on the lower left corner.
