Description

M80 is a very condensed cluster that is easily seen in a small telescope. However in order to

begin to resolve some stars a larger aperture scope is needed. When viewed through an

80mm Refractor M80 appears almost star like except for the fuzziness.

Description: I reprocessed my original image change the background color and to
remove light gradients.

Description: Reprocessed again to remove processing artifacts. I know it sounds funny
but what I see on my monitor is not always what I see when the image
is uploaded to Astrobin.

D

Description: I've got a lot of time on my hands lately so I decided to reprocess this image
to see if I could resolve more stars in the cluster. I did manage to resolve
a few more stars but I guess there is only so much I can do when I choose to
image a very small object like this with a 72mm scope.
