Messier 24 is a vast galactic cloud surnamed Sagittarius Star Cloud. It includes several objects mentioned by astrometry to which we must add the two obscure nebulae characteristic of the Barnard catalog (B92 and B93) and the small grouping of stars Makarian 38.


Messier 24 est un vaste nuage galactique surnommé Nuage du Sagittaire. Il comprend plusieurs objets mentionnés par l'astrométrie auxquels il faut ajouter les deux nébuleuses obscures caractéristiques du catalogue Barnard (B92 et B93) et le petit groupement d'étoiles Makarian 38.
