Description

This is the Shark Nebula in the constellation of Cepheus - object number 1235 in Beverly Lynds’ catalogue of dark nebula. The van den Bergh reflection nebulae numbers 149 and 150 are also shown.

This image is a two-panel mosaic consisting of data captured between 3 June and 9 July 2018 using a remotely-operated rig, located in Spain, that is jointly owned and operated by Barry Wilson and me.

Telescope: Takahashi FSQ 106

Camera: QSI 683 WSG

Filters: Astrodon

Mount: 10 Micron GM1000HPS

Lum: 72 x 600s

Red: 32 x 600s

Green: 32 x 600s

Blue: 32 x 600s

A total of 28 hours exposure.
