Description

The 'Witch's Broom' forms part of the Veil Nebula complex – a supernova remnant located some 1,500 light years away in the constellation of Cygnus. It is believed that the original supernova occurred around 3,000 - 6,000 BC.

Data were captured between 19 June and 11 July 2018 from a remote imaging rig located in Spain jointly owned and operated by Barry Wilson and me.

Telescope: Takahashi FSQ 106

Camera: QSI 683 WSG

Filters: Astrodon 5nm

Mount: 10 Micron GM1000HPS

Ha: 21 x 1200s

OIII: 18 x 1200s

A total of 13 hours exposure.
