Description

I knew I wanted to attach a camera lens to my ASI1600 so I could take some good narrowband shots of bigger targets.

I also wanted to use my existing autoguider with this arrangement, so I had a friend machine a few slots and some holes into a 1/4" aluminum plate.

I'm able to get North America and the Pelican in the same shot, and my pixel scale is 3.9"/px. My guider is a 130mm FL, (5.95”/px) so by my calculations, the min guide scope FL needed is only 40mm, so I’m overkilling quite a bit. But I’ve guided with this autoguider on my 80mm APO and it worked out fine for the mount. So this means my shots will be VERY nice and steady at this image scale.
