Visit to the Very Large Array

Description

My wife and I drove our Tesla Model 3 to visit the VLA this weekend. The trip is 190 miles (306 km) from Santa Fe, NM. Supercharged briefly in Albuquerque on the way there and back. Made heavy use of Autopilot (worked flawlessly!).

I think we have a new, fun way to explore observatories in the Southwest US and beyond!

The VLA was in configuration "C" at the time of our visit. This is one of the more compact groupings of antennas which is great for visitors. You get to see all of the antennas in one relatively small area. https://science.nrao.edu/facilities/vla/docs/manuals/propvla/array_configs
