Description

Global darkening or planetary darkening is a gradual reduction since the early 1950s of the light intensity of daylight reaching the earth's surface.

From 1950 to 1985, solar radiation on the Earth's surface decreased by about 4%. These decreases are subject to regional and seasonal fluctuations. Thus, the largest darkening of 30% was measured in Russia. On the African and American continents, decreases in the impact of 15% have been measured. Darkenings were measured in Northern Europe and Australia.

Clouds are formed in abnormal locations and heights, with very high altitude from aircraft contrails (as in the picture), which have increased dramatically since the 1980s. many more opaque, reflecting a greater proportion of light to space.
