For some reason I wanted to image a random galaxy on the edge of the Milky Way. I picked this lonesome Galaxy NGC2613 beyond the stars on the edge of our Milky Way. This is another test shot for the old Borg with the new filter. I really like the Borg even with the obvious field issues around the edge. I am going to run this with a reducer ultimately, and this will improve the edges. I love the star fields in Canis Major. I have two companion images that I will post shortly. Looking forward to what I captured with the RC and Tak on the same imaging runs.

I also wonder what is in those dark blotches. Just random patterns of stars that leave a dark blotches? Or something else. Not totally sure but betting on the normal random patterns of stars and lack of stars.
