Description

Here is a galaxy cluster in Coma Berenices with M99, NGC4298 and NGC4203.

The object for me with this one is to improve the stretching process to preserve color better and better star shapes.

I think I generally am overly aggressive with NR so I have changed the method a little in that area. I am also trying to trust the histogram a little more with respect to stretching in an overall sense.

Any comments or criticism always welcomed!!

CS,

Mike

Description: I tried to implement some excellent advice from Fritz on NR and stretching... Hopefully this image reflects some improvement in those areas.

But the real take-away from this exercise is that more integration is required if I am to achieve the results I am looking for. This is what my friend Frank has been telling me for months...

Kind of like the old adage that you can't squeeze blood from a stone.
