Description

NGC 1333 is a reflection nebula in the constellation Perseus. Located about a thousand light years from earth, it is part of the Perseus molecular cloud. NGC 1333 contains an interesting region containing hundreds of young stars less than a million years old. The gas and dust surrounding these stars are dense enough to be affected by various types of light. NGC 1333's bright light is scattered, especially in the blue region on the left, where gas clouds and dust are creating new stars. There are also baby stars and gases that emit intense red light.
