Description

NGC 2903 is a barred spiral galaxy that is similar to the Milky Way. It is located 25 million light years away in the constellation of Leo. It was first observed by William Herschel on 16 November 1784.

Data for NGC 2903 were collected between 13 March and 4 May 2019 from an imaging rig in Spain that is privately-owned and remotely-operated by Barry Wilson and me.

Filters: Astrodon

Mount: 10 Micron GM2000HPS

Ha: 16 x 1200s

Lum: 60 x 600s

Red: 30 x 600s

Green: 30 x 600s

Blue: 30 x 600s

A total of 30 hours and 20 minutes exposure.
