Description

Despite its popularity, I only had one short session on this galaxy during a quarter moon last year, so I definitely wanted to get a better shot. My first attempt on April 10th was a clinic in Murphy's Law as waves of clouds and lousy guiding limited me to 36 frames and even those were ruined by a huge dust bunny that danced all over the frame and rendered my flats useless.

The next clear night wouldn't come until April 24th, and although I got 65 frames many of those were marred by high thin clouds. The result was pretty good, but I wanted to get more data and had to wait until May 8 to get another clear night (it's been a terrible month for weather). That night also started out with thin clouds, but they dissipated in defiance of the forecast and I had a good run of 53 steady frames that were only cut short by my own limited time.
