Description

This has long been one of my favorite clusters to view in an eye piece. It looks different in an eye than most open clusters. For a long time I didn't chase open clusters with an eye piece because I didn't think they looked like anything. I didn't feel that way about M23. If it was up then I would always make time to view it. I've changed the way I used to think of open clusters. Now I view as many as I can find and they sort of validate why I spend so much time out under the stars. Please enjoy my most recent image of M23.
