Description

This is my first Milky Way image. I thought the sky was clear when I began imaging. However there were high thin clouds. Even though I couldn't see them my camera lens definitely could.
The clouds became really obvious on some of my last light frames. There is also heavy light pollution in the direction I was imaging. I was also racing the Moon. As images of the Milky Way go this one is pitiful. However I'm pleased with the image and I can see the potential when I gain more experience in imaging the Milky Way. This was also the first time that I tried light painting
in an astro image. With all of that said please enjoy my first image of the Milky Way.

I processed this image several times and decided to upload my first image even though it had a green look to it. The image for some reason appealed to me. I decided to upload another version but I'm still not sure which one I like the best.

C

I decided to upload all three versions of my image. Right now I'm kind of leaning toward this image as favorite.

D

I completely reprocessed this image again. This time I tried to improve the foreground objects.
