Hi All

My guiding 'changed' (for the worse) last week and have not resolved so any help would be appreciated.

On my paramount guiding calibration using Ascom direct involved (in Maxim) acquire 1st image, calibrate (takes pic, download and moves scope straight away), then guide.  Simple.

Last week with no changes to system when calibrating it now takes pic and waits for the duration of the move time in guider settings (had never used before but was 40 seconds) so calibration now taking 200 seconds plus rather than < 30?  It is behaving like pulse guiding not ascom direct?

In maxim it does guide when complete.

However ACP behaves in two ways.  If i run the guider cal script it follows same delayed process.  If run via a plan though it behaves like direct guide with no delay but then when it starts to guide it can not (massive errors) so it appears it has not actually calibrated!

So until resolved stuck on manual acquisition.

Any thoughts appreciated.  Have tried new USB links, reinstalled Ascom, maxim, etc all still the same.

Machine is isolated (not updates etc fully) so no idea why it changed - also changed lodestars and still same.  Do have another guidecam here so will try that also when next clear.

Check the settings in the ascom driver. Also try calibration the mount in SkyX to see it behaves the same way. Also ask Bob to incorporate SkyX to ACP. I looked at ACP. When I saw it requires Maxim, I gave up.

Paddy, I agree with Tolga.  Bob Denny may be best guy to contact to get it resolved.  He's pretty responsive.  I hate stuff like this so I wish you luck to get it fixed ASAP.  - John

Thanks Guys - previous Sky X integration all fine.  Then bang not working.  Been trying to get hold of Bob since last Thu but no response to mails and can't get onto forums at the moment for some reason.  SOunds like a call is required.

Appreciate responses.
