Hello,

In the past year, I've built my roll off observatory and stationary concrete pier only to find that the speed bumps on the back road cause vibrations right through the pier and mount affecting my imaging.
See google map link: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Bayshore+Rd,+Gulf+Breeze,+FL/@30.3839682,-87.1203103,59m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x8890c441cbf0371f:0xa29ed73142cf0f2!8m2!3d30.3779315!4d-87.1198652
I have tried to have the city remove them but it is turning out to be quite the challenge. Having the speed bumps means I can only image Bin2x2 RGB from sundown till about 10pm when the road traffic is heavy. Since the RGB data doesn't come into play for resolution and detail this works, but ideally this means that the time I have available to shoot lum data is very limited!

I wanted to see if there are any ideas for heavy vibration isolation of a pier. I hate that I poured the pier and will have to tear it down but if I pour it a second time I want to make sure its vibration proof! I saw this and although it seems the provide vibration isolation in the reverse direction, it could be a promising way to construct a pier. http://www.vibrationmountsindia.com/Foundation_Isolation.html  In the video it shows the vibration sensor on the antivibration blocks and he is hitting the bottom plate with a hammer with good vibration isolation. I am wondering if maybe even creating a double layer of such an array would add extra protection. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Chris Gomez
