Description

This HII emission nebula is located 20,000 light years away in the constellation of Cepheus at a declination of +60 degrees.  It spans 3 arc-minute in our apparent view.  This corresponds to a width of 15 light years.  Like many nebula, little information exists on this object.

The interplay between the bright emission and the dark nebula is fascinating.  Despite being far away for a nebula, a lot of small detail is apparent.
