Description

The Rosette Nebula... this beautiful emission nebula is just 5000 light years away from earth (meaning light from this nebula takes 5000 years to reach us). There are numerous new-born stars within this star forming region (altogether, approximately 2500 young stars are being born here!)

I really like the dusty region that looks like a pouncing panther! I zoomed in on that region in Rev C of this image.
