Description

I finally managed to finish this project and collect the Ha. I decided to use dark flats for this one as I did not use them before. Of course, my flats for the previous sessions had different durations, so it took some work to do the calibration properly. (I had to take several sets of darks since I had the great idea of varying the intensity of the flat panel in order to increase the flat duration). I don't know if I can improve much more the details by collecting more hours. This is probably the limitation of my Bortle 7/8 zone without a LP filter. Pretty pleased to see that the background was not as catastrophic as usual: possibly the flat darks helped, but also I did not do any NR in the linear mode, I think it can actually decrease the artefacts when shooting under LP. Kind of relieved to see that narrowband season is here : )

Clear skies !
