Description

NGC 2403 is 50,000 light-years across with a similar structure to M33 in our own local group, but is about 10 million light-years away in space and time, a part of the M81 group. NGC 2403 is well endowed in huge HII star forming regions as well as hot blue stars, not to mention three know supernova.

This image was stacked in DSS with a 3x drizzle. I needed more images, but the weather gods were not with me. Despite the shortage of exposures I decided to post it anyway, but add it to my list to add more exposures next year, as like M33, she is a very pretty sight indeed.
