Description

Last year I imaged the Cygnus Loop and was fascinated by its details. This year I pointed my telescope to SH2-91 - the other veil nebula in Cygnus and again I am fascinated.

SH2-91 is part of a Supernova Remnant which is twice as big as the Cygnus Loop - SNR G65.3+5.7.

SH2-91 is completely hidden by the Milky Way. There are so many stars in the field of view that the details are barely visible. I applied some star removal and noise reduction techniques in order to make the details of the SNR to stand out.

I spent three nights to capture this image. I had some doubts whether to proceed and capture the whole thing. But after processing I am hyped and I am going with full force to capture the other parts of the SNR.

Stay tuned and wish me more clear nights

CS,
Ivan
