Description

Thor's Helmut - NGC 2359

This image will require more imaging time. Thor's Helmut is a very faint nebula in the constellation of Canis Major - sort of off to the left and just above Sirius, the Dog Star. This image is the result of 2 night's work - with 58 @ 60s ISO 3200 on an Olympus EM1x and 21 @ 120s (ISO800) on a Nikon D750. I will need to add more data to this to bring out the more subtle colors - but this is not a bad first effort. For more info on Thor's Helmut: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NGC_2359
