Description

The Angel Nebula, also known as NGC 2170, is a cloud of gas and dust located in the constellation Monoceros, about 2,400 light-years from Earth. This region is a mix of blueish reflection nebulae, red emission nebulae and dark absorption nebulae in the midst of a giant molecular cloud.

For my version of this festive target, I attempted to bring out the detail in the intricate background dust.

Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays!
