Description

This is the moon at 77%, it is a waning gibbous. I shot this with my newtonian telescope and ZWO ASI294MC Pro camera at 1/350th of a second with an 800mm focal length. Open it up, there is a lot of detail in this image.

I did some light editing with Lightroom. This was a single image. When the moon is full I will take another photograph, I want to see the other 23%. Hopefully when the moon is full the humidity will be less. Last night the humidity was over 80% and that effects the sharpness of the image.

Taking a picture of the moon is so much easier than galaxies and nebula. Only one image as opposed to 500 and the processing is about 4 minutes instead of 4 or 5 hours.
