Description

NGC 3486 is a spiral galaxy in Leo Minor. It lies around 79 million light years away. Apparent magnitude is 10.5 and size is 7.1 x 5.3 arc minutes. The two galaxies at the lower right are NGC 2814 (smaller) and NGC 2820 (larger).

Date: Dec 2020-Mar 2021

Location: New Ringgold PA

Optics: Celestron EdgeHD 1100 on Paramount MX

Camera: ZWO ASI1600MM

Guiding: Celestron OAG with ZWO ASI174 Mini

Exposure: LRGB: L:63x10 R:25x8 min, G:18x8 min, B:15x8 min for a total of 18.2 hrs (121 subs at avg of 542 sec)

Processing: Image acquisition using CCD Autopilot. Initial processing was done using Maxim DL with subsequent processing with Photoshop.
