Description

Hi my friends,

Messier 74 (also known as NGC 628 and Phantom Galaxy) is a large spiral galaxy in the equatorial constellation Pisces. It is about 32 million light-years away from Earth.

It has here been imaged with the backyard 14" RC of the observatoire du Calvados (Northern France), and processed by mixing a 3 hours Moravian G2 luminance with a 7 hours ASI 294 MC Pro RGB.

We still have some reflection issues with the scope (not easy to manage during processing) and the seeing was average. But the 10 hours of exposure allow to have a good signal despite everything.

Hope you will like it. Happy new coming year.

Clear skies.

JF
