Description

This Astrobin Debut Object Is a faint bipolar planetary nebula located in the constellation of Canis Major at a declination of -16 degrees.  I could not find any information on this nebula, not even a distance or magnitude.  It spans 1.5 arc-minutes in our apparent view.  The object is classified as part of the Kohoutek planetary nebula catalog.

We have a nice side-on view of this bipolar PN.  The classic bright red torus cross-section is clearly visible, as are the 2 lobes of the PN extending left and right.
