Description

The Witch Head Nebula, IC 2118, in Orion. Rigel is the dazzling blue supergiant illuminating this reflection and emission nebula complex. The image is inverted (south is upwards) to make the "witch head in profile" more obvious.

Fuji X-A3 camera, Samyang 135mm lens at f/2, STC Astro Multispectra filter, AstroTrac.
88 x 2-minute exposures.

From suburban Galway, Ireland. This field is fairly low at our latitude; the most southerly "bright" star you see here, 64 Eridani, peaks at around 24 degrees altitude.

And yes, I turned the saturation up to "11", because the blue and red nebulae are lovely .
