Description

I was a little underwhelmed by the results I got from my capture of this target with the RC6:

The Cat's Paw Nebula in SHO

That's probably because it is an F/9 scope, and I'm shooting from a Bortle 9 sky. Really not much to see on the paw's "basis". This is why I decided to try my hand at this target once again, this time using a much faster optic system, the Redcat 51, a F/4.9.

Although its focal lenght limits the final resolution, I'm more satisfied with this image due to the abundance of signal captured in every part of the nebula. This was also my first time trying RC Astro's BlurXterminator process, and I'm surprised by how much it improved the image overall texture.

I did capture RGB stars too, but decided not to apply them in the final image beacause honestly, at this resolution they just look like pixels.

Clear skies!
