Description

Finally had a clear night and good seeing here in Central Florida. Compared to the last time I imaged Jupiter in May (https://www.astrobin.com/h42txc/E/), the Great Red Spot isn't looking very healthy. The cloud bands surrounding it have broken up, and it's gone from an ellipse to more of a circle. I haven't measured it, but I think it has lost some area in the process.

This happened before last year, and the GRS managed to recover. Let's hope this is just some temporary bad weather on Jupiter.

Also, can I say how cool it is that you can observe the weather on other planets from your own yard?
