Description

The Bubble Nebula is a beautiful wavefront formed from the intense radiation of a star about 20 times the Sun's mass. Imaged here at the hydrogen-alpha and oxygen-III wavelengths. A very rare pair of clear nights let me get this, though high thin clouds blurred the images somewhat. Mostly the intent was to ops-check some recent repairs to my mount, and to see if I could get guiding into a reasonable range. Yep: RA was around 1.1", DEC maybe 0.8".
