Description

NGC 3718 is a irregular Galaxy about 50 million lightyears away in the Constellation Ursa Major. It's shape suggest a likely interaction with it's neighbour galaxy NGC 3729. On the left you can see the galaxy cluster Hickson 56 that only apparently in the vicinity of this galaxy.

This image has been taken at the Landessternwarte Heidelberg with the support of a couple of astronomy friends, namely Julian Zoller and Lukas Eisert. The latter has contributed the RGB color Data.

Color Data: 5hrs with Skywatcher 10" f/4 and ASI 071mc pro
