My widefield setup

Description

A year ago I assembled a wide-field setup to shoot nebulae in narrow band. I used a old soviet-style lens Jupiter 37A (135mm f/3.5) accompanying with QHY22 camera and 9x1.25" Atik EWF2 filter wheel equipped with Astrodon Ha and O3 filters.

Rubber belt, stepper motor and DIY ASCOM compliant focuser controller were used to automate focusing with this setup.

For guiding I used stock 9x50 finder with DIY Cam 10 monochrome camera.

Lens is wrapped by Kendrick heater to prevent dew.

As result there is a setup with FOV 5°x4° and 7"/pixel resolution. For session a automation SGP software is used.

Intention of this setup was temporary occupied a unused mount in remote observatory until large astrograph arrives. But there is nothing persistent than temporary. So this setup worker more that year and collected near 500 hours of data what is still in my processing queue.
