Description

Abell 61 is a rarely imaged, very faint planetary nebula 5000 light years distant in Cygnus. It's apparent magnitude is 14.4 and mean surface brightness 15.5. It's blue binary central star is magnitude 17. It's outer shell is distorted, presumably by it's interaction with the ISM.
