Description

Although the resolution of the picture have been bad I could not help but post it for the simple fact that I never got before registering this formation in detail.

I speak of the crater and Chapel Valley that cuts in half goes by the name of Vallis Chapel.

Chapel is a very interesting and little known crater, is located northeast of teophilus and measures 51 km in diameter, but its main differentiation is extremely irregular edge and the floor which seems to be formed by a series of falls from other smaller bodies, at least 4 plus a central peak also strange with a hole exactly in the center that must also have been formed by a falling meteor.

To conclude, it is torn in half by one of the great lunar valleys (Vallis Chapel).

Next time you look at Teophilus remember to search for this little known to most observers of lunar formation.
